I have the same problem running Windows 7 with a Lide 210 and went to Canon 'JustAnswer' for help (£15 if they could solve the problem) but after three days of trying the problem remains!- "The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed - Please install and try again"
The Lide 210 was great using XP. With guidance from "JustAnswers" Technician I Totally uninstalled the software and reinstalled the software from the USA drivers list - to no avail!

I am retired, but if I were still working I would love to bill Canon for 36 hours of lost productivity. The product was great with XP but the software for Windows 7 is rubbish!

Why can't Canon get it right & why can't we actually speak to a technician rather than having to send each other screen notes?

Same problem of Scanner Driver Unsupported by MPNavigator either under Win 8 (not working at all so I updated) and Win 8.1 (and nothing is now changed after new OS and driver/software).
Shame, couldn't MP Navigator just state which driver is required?
Let's hope Canon finds a solution...

I installed MP Navigator, but every time try to open it I get a message saying: "The scanner driver supported by this software is not installed. Please install and try again". How do I do that?

I have the same problem. I have loaded the current scanner driver for the printer and this message comes up all the time - no one seems to have a solution - last time I buy a Canon.

I have the same problem! My Canon Pixma MP780 which was supposed to be a multifunctional printer/copier/scanner/fax machine is now only a glorified printer/copier as my new laptop comes with Windows 8. It seems Canon have only made a half-hearted attempt by updating only some of their drivers for this printer...but apparently can't be bothered to provide an update for the MP Navigator 1.0 (which was a great little scanner under previous versions of Windows). Disgraceful!!!

I downloaded the program to a CD and it would not open. I did this twice. I could not extract it. Very disappointed. I am desperate for help with my HP psc 2100 all-in-one printer.scanner.copier.

hi! i have acer 1825PT. my webcam was working well, taking pics and vids.. i used it for a videocall ONCE. then after that, everytime i use my cam(not for videocall) it is totally blank.. even in Yahoo messenger. Sad

This free download appears to do one thing, eject the CD/DVD tray. My wife's laptop has a defective button for ejecting and this solution Smile

seems to work perfectly. An icon is placed on the Sys tray. Double clicking the icon ejects your disk.

Canon MP navigator EX 3.1 as the tracker claimed latest over Canon MP navigator EX 1.2 is only intended to support Cannon MP 140, while Canon MP navigator EX 1.2 is intended to support Canon MP 190.
